Nordstraße is to be redesigned between the Brand business park and Eilendorfer Straße. The current plans include the reconstruction of the intersection of Nordstraße, Gewerbepark Brand and Brander Heide. This is intended to restrict unwanted through traffic with motor vehicles between Brander Heide and Trierer Straße. On the other hand, a protective strip for cyclists will be created on the right-hand side of the road in the opposite direction between Brander Heide and Eilendorfer Straße.
The administration is providing information about the current plans to redesign this section of Nordstraße online in a presentation with sound. This can now be found online on the following website: www.aachen.de/nordstrasse. Printed copies of the plans are available at the Brand district office at Paul-Küpper-Platz 1. The district office is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Citizens can submit comments, suggestions and remarks on the current planning of Nordstraße in writing by 8 December in two ways: firstly via the letterbox at the Brand district office, Paul-Küpper-Platz 1, and secondly by email to the following address: nordstrasse@mail.aachen.de.
