Residents' parking zone East 1/East 3: Permits can be applied for from August 12

In recent weeks, the city has had the new East 1 and East 3 residents' parking zones set up. In addition, the existing parking zone V will be extended. The new parking regulations for resident parking will apply from September 9, 2024. The city assumes that resident parking will make it easier for residents to find a free parking space.

Eligible residents of the zones can apply for resident parking permits for zones Ost 1 and Ost 3 as well as for the extended zone V online via the service portal of the City of Aachen from Monday, August 12, and print them out immediately (serviceportal.aachen.de). Alternatively, resident parking permits can be applied for in person: at the citizen service points at the main train station and Katschhof as well as at one of the six district offices. Appointments can be made via the website www.aachen.de/terminvereinbarung or by telephone on 0241 432-1234.

An administrative fee of 30 euros is currently payable for the issue of the ID card. The card is valid for one year.
