Studiwerkstatt e.V.'s Repair Café

Repair Instead of Throwing Away – at the Studiwerkstatt Repair Café

Whether it’s broken electronics, damaged clothing, small pieces of furniture, or other everyday items—at the Studiwerkstatt Repair Café, we work together to patch things up, tinker, solder, and repair. Over coffee, tea, and snacks, experienced volunteers will help you get your items back in working order—free of charge, open to everyone, and in a relaxed atmosphere.

All you need is a little time, your clean appliance or item along with any accessories—and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and learn. The goal is to reduce waste, conserve resources, and empower people to repair things themselves in the future.

And what if you no longer need something? After a successful repair, we’ll gladly add it to our swap-and-give-away corner—maybe someone else will be happy to have it!

🛠️ Regular hours:
every first Wednesday of the month, 5:00–8:30 p.m. at OecherLab
📍 Kapuzinergraben 19D, 52064 Aachen

Studiwerkstatt Aachen is a nonprofit association originally founded by students at RWTH Aachen University. The goal was to create a space where anyone interested could have access to machines and tools to carry out their own projects and learn craft skills.

Members can work on their own ideas in the well-equipped workshop or participate in collaborative projects. In addition to providing space and tools, the association also offers workshops and training sessions to teach participants how to use machinery safely.
