Major events

Aachen offers a wide range of leisure activities: major events, concerts, street festivals, markets, bike races or runs - there is something for everyone. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, every event must be carefully planned and approved by the Office for Safety and Order. This is where the teams can help, act as competent contact persons and guide you through the approval process. After all, the safety of organizers, participants and visitors must be guaranteed. Different applications must be submitted depending on the type, location and size of the event. A permit is required for events in public areas such as street festivals, markets, parades or bike races.
