We are here for you

Common contact point

Lost and found office
Have you found something? Lost something? Then the colleagues at the lost and found office are the right people for you. This is where lost property is received, stored and returned to the owner.
Road safety

Road safety
The city is working to ensure safe and understanding coexistence in road traffic. The road safety action plan, the FahrRad in Aachen campaign and speed checks help with this.

Parking
Parking in Aachen is very varied. There are a number of parking garages, Park+Ride lots and many parking zones for residents. Important information on parking can be found on the following pages.

Speed checks
Excessive speed often causes accidents on Aachen's roads. This is why the Department of Safety and Order regularly monitors these with mobile measuring devices at particularly dangerous spots. Do you often see vehicles driving too fast? Then please contact our colleagues and suggest a speed check.
Major events

Aachen offers a wide variety of recreational activities: major events, concerts, street festivals, markets, bike races, and runs—there’s something for everyone. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, every event must be carefully planned and approved by the Department of Safety and Public Order. The teams here are here to help, serving as knowledgeable points of contact and guiding you through the approval process. After all, the safety of organizers, participants, and visitors must be ensured. Depending on the type, location, and size of the event, different applications must be submitted. A permit is required for events held in public spaces, such as street festivals, markets, parades, or bike races.
