Our self-image for the city of Aachen
Aachen is a vibrant European city. It has been a hotspot of history since Charlemagne. But thanks to clever minds, it is also a laboratory for the future.
We, all the employees of the city administration, work for the benefit of all the people who live, work or visit us here. In doing so, we support their wishes and ideas in a fair and cooperative manner within the scope of the given possibilities. Our dealings with one another are characterized by respect and friendliness, and our work is defined by high standards of service and quality. We see ourselves as a service provider and cooperate with all relevant institutions in Aachen and the surrounding area. The following guiding principles form the common basis for this. As managers and employees, we want to fill them with life and be bound and measured by them in our actions.
