Explanation
With a framework concept for an orderly and urbanistically desirable settlement development for residential construction in Aachen's southern district, fundamental urban and natural criteria for the preservation or partial densification of individual settlement areas were developed.
The southern district was also examined to determine the urgent need for the use of planning law instruments in the individual settlement areas. On the basis of this study, a decision was made to draw up a plan for the Louis-Beissel-Strasse area.
The following urban development goals are to be achieved:
- Safeguarding the orderly urban structure of the existing character
- Securing the villa-like development on spacious plots of land
- Safeguarding the existing characteristic greenery
- Moderate control of further structural development
