Early participation, public participation took place from 26.10.2020 - 20.11.2020.

Explanations on planning

The City Council of the city region has determined the need for approx. 190 care places for the city of Aachen by 2020. This plan is intended to cover part of the demand. The aim of the planning is to create a care and nursing facility for senior citizens close to their homes. Here, 80 full-time, 12 short-term and 16 day care places as well as 12 senior-friendly residential units are to be built. A meeting place is also planned.

The administration looked for a suitable location and proposed to politicians that the project be built on Banker-Feld-Straße. The political committees opted for this location.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was not possible to hold a hearing. However, the plans and documents could be viewed at the Aachen - Richterich district office.

Anyone wishing to make comments, suggestions and remarks on the topic could do so in writing, via the letterbox in the planning exhibition at the Aachen-Richterich district office or by e-mail.
