Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesdays additionally from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
Hearing: The public hearing for citizens (opportunity to comment and discuss) will take place on 19.11.2025 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the ALRV Press Center, Aachen Department, Albert-Servais-Allee 50, 52070 Aachen.

Process status
The documents to be published and the content of the notice are accessible via the central internet portal of the state of NRW beteiligung.nrw.de and at beteiligung.aachen.de. Comments can also be submitted via the NRW state internet portal.
Explanations on planning
With its existing club and professional sports structures, the Soers sports park already represents an area that creates identity and attracts visitors from beyond the city limits of Aachen. However, the sports park is currently unable to fully exploit its potential in terms of meeting demand.
As part of the redrafting of the AACHEN*2030 land use plan, the area was to be retained as a green space with a "sports field" purpose, but the objective was contradicted due to the conditions for approval from 2021. As a result, there is currently no target statement for the planning area at the land use planning level. The area is now to be designated as a special area with the purpose of "sport, leisure and culture", supplemented with the symbol SO-SFK 2.I -Sportpark Soers / Mitte.
An extensive participation process was initiated as a result of the urban development need to redefine the objectives and key uses of the planned area.
