Route planner
The city of Aachen has put its new city navigation system online. It not only shows the fastest and most environmentally friendly routes through the city, but also provides other useful information. The Aachen city navigation system links all available mobility options in the region and makes it possible to plan a route that also includes various mobility options.
Stadtnavi is a regional alternative to other widely used navigation systems. All data is handled anonymously and securely in accordance with European data protection law. Current roadworks are displayed as well as relevant real-time data (e.g. parking garage occupancy, utilization of charging stations, availability of e-scooters and information about public transport). When planning routes, various means of transport are displayed as alternatives.
By bus & train
Buses and trains in Aachen and the surrounding area are always reliable and fast on the main axes. For all areas of the city, there are networked and affordable mobility services adapted to demand. Buses and trains are inexpensive, easy, safe and barrier-free to use and form the backbone of Aachen's mobility network.
Aachener Straßenbahn- und Energieversorgungs AG (ASEAG)
As a municipal transport company, Aachener Straßenbahn- und Energieversorgungs AG (ASEAG) is the most important mobility service provider in Aachen and the first point of contact for customers.
Aachener Verkehrsverbund AVV
The AVV: All transport companies in one transport association: In the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV), all buses and trains in regular service can be used with one ticket. Timetables, fares and background information on the AVV can be found at www.avv.de.

Apps & digital offers
Both AVV and ASEAG offer mobility apps for timetable information and bookings:
naveo: The AVV’s mobility app always shows you the fastest and best possible route to your destination—whether you want to take the bus, train, bike, car, car- or bike-sharing, or a combination of all of them.
eezy.nrw is the AVV’s new electronic fare (eTarif) for buses and trains. eezy.nrw can be used via the movA and naveo apps. Simply check in through the app, board the vehicle, travel comfortably to your destination, and check out via the app. Fares are calculated automatically—and very fairly—based on the distance in kilometers as the crow flies between the starting and destination stops.
movA: ASEAG’s movA service brings together various modes of transportation in a single app. Just register once, and you’ll be able to rent bikes and buy your bus ticket using the same app.The app also displays the current bus departure times at all stops. It’s also suitable for corporate mobility management. Through movA, you can buy bus tickets, book the NetLiner, use car-sharing, bike-sharing, and e-scooters, and hail taxis in Aachen.
Long-distance buses
There are currently two long-distance bus stops in Aachen: The stop on Wilmersdorfer Straße (Hüls) can be reached via ASEAG bus lines 23, 30, and 47 (stops “Wilmersdorfer Straße” or “Hüls”). Long-distance buses heading toward Eastern and Southeastern Europe mainly stop at this station. A second station is located on Henricistraße at Bendplatz near the Aachen-West train station; in addition to trains, it can also be reached via bus lines 1, 30, 33, 41, 43, 73, 74, 3A, and 3B (stop “Westbahnhof”) or the “Bendplatz” stop via bus lines 7, 17, 27, 37, and 47. From this stop, trains primarily serve domestic German destinations as well as the Benelux region, Paris, and London.
Night buses
At weekends and on the nights before public holidays, night buses depart from the Elisenbrunnen at 1.30 a.m., 2.30 a.m. and 3.30 a.m. to the city districts; there are also shared cabs that can be booked in advance (ASA). If you would like to continue your journey by cab at your exit stop, please ask the driver to call you a cab when you get in. The cab fare applies.
