Youth work, youth street work and educational child and youth protection/media protection aim to improve the quality of life, social connections and prospects of young people. To this end, a wide range of extracurricular activities are offered for social interaction, education and personal development.
Youth welfare services work in and with institutions such as youth centers (OTs) or schools, offer leisure activities (vacation games) and support in personal or social crises.
Youth street workers work directly and indirectly in the living environment of young people. They advise, support and accompany young people in particularly difficult situations.
Media protection plays an important role in youth care by educating young people about the safe and responsible use of media and protecting them from dangers such as addiction and data protection violations, cyberbullying, etc.
