Youth participation

Youth participation plays a crucial role in a dynamic and democratic society. It involves the active participation of young people in decision-making processes that directly affect them. Through this participation, young people have the opportunity to contribute their opinions, ideas and needs and thus actively influence the shaping of their living environment.

The Youth Participation Office in the Youth and Schools Department works closely with the Youth Participation Project Management Department in the Citizens' Dialogue and Administration Management Department. Together, they develop and support initiatives in which young people take on responsibility themselves, be it through the organization of events or the development of leisure activities.

As a joint contact point, Youth Participation promotes dialog between young Aacheners, the administration and politicians.
