There are 220 kilometers of cycle paths in Aachen. The aim of the Aachen cycling decision is to have a main cycle network in which 90% of the population live within 200 m of a main cycle route. In order to enable safe and comfortable cycling in Aachen, the city of Aachen is building a"priority cycle network". Ten priority cycle routes are planned, the first of which are now being implemented. You can see the route on the RVR map.

Bicycle parking
There are new bicycle parking garages in Aachen, also known as “bike stations.” The slogan “Park your bike. But do it safely!” is displayed at all of these facilities.
Bicycles can also be parked free of charge and under cover in the following parking garages.
- Hauptbahnhof multi-storey parking lot: 34 racks, access via Zollamtstraße
- Rathaus multi-storey parking lot: 5 racks, access via Mostardstraße
- Galeria Kaufhof/City multi-storey parking lot: 14 racks, access via Wirichsbongardstraße
Bike sharing
Aachen has a new bike-sharing system: Euregiobike. The service provider is Nextbike, which operates numerous other bike-sharing systems in Germany. With an account there, you can also ride in Aachen—and vice versa. An expansion to several cities in the Aachen urban region and to the Dutch Parkstad Limburg (Heerlen, Kerkrade) is in the works.
