Kennedypark playhouse

The Kennedypark Play Center is located in the green heart of East Aachen. For more than 40 years, this open-access recreation center has been a staple destination for children ages 6 to 14. Here, they have the opportunity and plenty of space to play, explore their interests freely, or meet and interact with peers.

The goal of the two full-time staff members—Elke Keuchen-Djafari and Jörg Langanke—as well as the part-time staff is to provide the children with stimulating and enriching recreational activities. Particular emphasis is placed on free play. In the summer, the children enjoy playing outside and make use of the entire Kennedy Park with its numerous play and sports facilities.

Many children visit the playhouse daily and spend a large part of their free time there. Former playhouse children also often visit—sometimes with their parents or even with their own children—to seek advice or introduce the next generation to the playhouse.
