AWO fan project

Description

The Aachen Fan Project is a youth welfare organization run by Arbeiterwohlfahrt Aachen-Stadt e.V. and has been in operation since 2008. It is funded by the DFB, the Ministry for Children, Family, Refugees, and Integration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the StädteRegion, and the City of Aachen.

Its services include, among other things, an open drop-in center, personal counseling and assistance, mediation in conflicts related to soccer, match support, U18 away trips, sports and recreational education programs, educational and cultural events, exchange trips, and preventive school projects.

The fan project’s responsibilities include outreach social work, open youth work, case-by-case assistance, prevention, networking, and public relations.
