Monheimsallee 58/60: Regionetz Connects Buildings to the District Heating Network
Starting Saturday, October 17, 2026, Regionetz will connect two buildings on Monheimsallee, near house numbers 58 and 60, to the district heating network. To carry out the work, crews will need to cross the roadway on Monheimsallee in the direction of Bastei. The work is expected to take four weeks.
The construction project will be carried out in three consecutive phases. During the first phase, the right lane in the direction of Bastei will remain open. During the second phase, the construction zone will shift so that the left lanes can be used.
During construction work on Monheimsallee, bicycle traffic will be rerouted past the construction site as follows: The bicycle lane on the right side of the road will be closed. Instead, the sidewalk will be opened to bicycle traffic up to the traffic signal at the Bastei intersection.
Work on the roadway is scheduled to be completed during the fall break, by October 30.
The third and final phase of construction will take place primarily along the sidewalk and is expected to last two weeks. During construction, the public parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the construction site will be unavailable.
