Adalbertsteinweg: Regionetz is renovating the sewer system and expanding the district heating network
On October 13, Regionetz began extensive construction work on Adalbertsteinweg and Alsenstraße. The company is renovating the sewer system, replacing service connections, and at the same time laying the groundwork for the further expansion of the district heating network. A total of 18 months of construction is planned for the two construction sites on Adalbertsteinweg and Alsenstraße.
Adalbertsteinweg
: Work has now begun on Adalbertsteinweg in the expanded intersection area with Alsenstraße. Work will initially take place in the median strip. As a result, there will be one fewer lane available in each direction for about a month.
Construction will then shift to the intersection of Adalbertsteinweg and Alsenstraße. During this phase, traffic heading into the city will be reduced to a single lane. Public buses and private vehicles will share this lane. Traffic heading out of the city will once again have access to the regular lanes. The work on Adalbertsteinweg is expected to take about five months.
Alsenstraße
Next, Regionetz will continue construction on Alsenstraße. Work will proceed in sections from Adalbertsteinweg to Düppelstraße. The respective construction sections must be completely closed to traffic. The buildings will remain accessible on foot, and residents will be able to drive up to the respective construction site from both sides.
During the construction work, there may be occasional restrictions on access to private parking spaces, as well as the temporary closure of public parking spaces in the construction area. The local Regionetz construction management team will notify those affected in a timely manner of any temporary restrictions.
Regionetz asks for your understanding for the inconvenience caused by the work. Together with the companies it has commissioned, it is endeavoring to keep the inconvenience to a minimum. All measures have been coordinated with the responsible authorities and institutions.
