EUROPE DIRECT: How Border Police Collaborate to Combat Drug-Related Crime
Students from Hogeschool Zuyd in Maastricht, together with EUROPE DIRECT Aachen and the Association for German-Dutch Youth Work, will shed light on how the Dutch, Belgian, and German police forces collaborate on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m. at the Grashaus.
They have invited two experts from NeBeGeAgPol to participate in the interactive event. NeBeGeAgPol is the working group of Dutch, Belgian, and German police authorities in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine region. Thomas Hinz and Marcel Bischoff will focus primarily on international drug-related crime and joint police operations.
Following the experts’ presentations, guests will have the opportunity to discuss in small groups what effective cross-border police work should look like. The event is primarily aimed at younger people up to about 29 years old from all three countries in the Euregio, who will engage in discussions in English and German.
