On Saturday, May 30, Aachen's city council is once again offering the popular toy swap. The free event will take place from 11 am to 3 pm in the rotunda at the Elisenbrunnen.

Children can bring toys that they no longer play with and swap them for another toy. The main focus of the toy swap is on reuse and sustainability. "As long as a child can give their toy to someone else or swap it for another toy, sustainability is ensured," explains Anne Lehnen from the waste management department of the municipal authority. "It's always better to reuse things. That way, resources can be conserved." It is not necessary to register for the swap. Anyone who would like to take part in the swap can simply bring their toys to the Elisenbrunnen. Cuddly toys are excluded for reasons of hygiene.
