In the last week of local politics before the Easter break, four meetings will take place, all starting at 5 pm.

Tuesday, March 24,
The Aachen Event Operations Committee meets in Conference Room 3 of the Eurogress and discusses the funding guideline on prices for social events organized by associations in the Kurhaus.

Wednesday, March 25,
The Main and Finance Committee meets in the Council Chamber. Topics include the regulatory ordinance on keeping sales outlets open on Sundays for the year 2026, the business plan for the 2027/28 season of Stadttheater and Musikdirektion Aachen and the status report on the 2026 World Equestrian Games supporting program: Aachen WEG Special.

Thursday, 26 March
The Committee for Digitalization meets in the Campus meeting room of the Maria-Theresia-Allee administration building and discusses processes and digitalization, the introduction of a video consultation service for citizens and the strategic direction in the use of AI in Aachen city administration.

Finally, the planning committee meets in the council chamber. Two proposals relating to the Büchel old town district are discussed: firstly, the completion of the preparatory investigations and then the statutes on the formal designation of the "Büchel old town district" redevelopment area. The committee decides to convert the clay pitch at the Breslauer Straße sports ground into artificial turf.
