Part of the asphalt on the Vennbahnweg is being renewed in the area of the Rollefbach viaduct. Immediately behind the structure, the asphalt has sagged considerably in the edge areas over a width of approx. 30 centimetres and must be repaired to ensure continued road safety. The road maintenance and bridge construction team from Aachener Stadtbetrieb will be carrying out the work on Thursday and Friday, March 19 and 20.

Due to the work, there will be temporary restrictions on the Vennbahnweg for around two hours at a time. The route will remain passable throughout, but the available traffic space will be restricted by the work. In order to minimize the impact as much as possible, the work will begin outside peak times from 9 a.m., so that the restriction will only take effect after rush hour and school traffic.
