Three district councils are meeting next week: Aachen-Mitte, -Eilendorf, and -Haaren. The Culture, Theater and Adult Education Center (VHS) operating committee will also be meeting. In addition, the Mobility Committee also meets as an advisory board of the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV Advisory Board).

Wednesday, March 18,
The Aachen-Mitte district council meets at 5 p.m. in the council chamber. The 2026 timetable measures and the Büchel old town district are on the agenda. The "inner city" redevelopment statutes are also on the agenda.

The meeting of the Aachen-Eilendorf district council starts at 5.30 p.m. in the meeting room of the local district office on Heinrich-Thomas-Platz. The administration will give a status report on the Montessori school. The demographic concept is also discussed. The district council also discusses the "AACHEN*2030" land use plan.

The meeting of the Aachen-Haaren district council begins at 6 p.m. in the premises of Lebenshilfe Aachen on Hergelsmühlenweg. Lord Mayor Dr. Michael Ziemons will discuss current issues with the district council. The results of the Aachen-Haaren district youth conference are presented. The district council also discusses the concept procedure for the development of the Haaren-Ortsmitte municipal properties.

Thursday, 19 March
The Culture, Theatre and Adult Education Committee meets at 5 p.m. in the administration building on Mozartstraße in room 207 to discuss the business plan for the 2026/27 season of the municipal theater and music directorate. A citizens' motion on education and action weeks against anti-Semitism is also on the agenda. In addition, there are status reports on the Haus der Neugier, the municipal library, the supporting program for the World Equestrian Games and "Gemeinsam morgens ins Museum".

The Mobility Committee will also meet at 5 p.m. as the AVV Advisory Board in the Council Chamber. The Mobility Report 2025, the traffic turnaround measures in local public transport and the "Cycling" action plan are on the agenda.
