Finissage Praymobil at the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum
To round off the exhibition "Praymobil. Medieval Art in Motion", the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum invites you to the finissage on Sunday, March 15 with a panel discussion with museum director Till-Holger Borchert and cathedral provost Rolf-Peter Cremer, guided tours with curator Michael Rief and co-curator Dr. Dagmar Preising as well as a children's tour with puppet theater.
The program starts at 11 a.m. with a panel discussion in the museum's lecture hall. Admission is free.
Museum Director Till-Holger Borchert talks to Cathedral Provost Rolf-Peter Cremer about the exhibition and its relevance today. The focus will be on topics such as the idea behind the exhibition, medieval art in motion, its spiritual dimension and the question of what resonance religious art can still trigger today. The talk will last around 45 minutes, after which there will be time for questions from the audience.
A children's tour with puppet theater through the exhibition begins at 2 pm. The museum lion will accompany the young visitors. Stephan Wunsch from Theater Rosenfisch and Michaela Giesen from Museumsdienst Aachen will be taking part. The offer is aimed at children from primary school age and is free of charge. Participation tickets are available 30 minutes before the start at the museum ticket office, the number of participants is limited.
Exclusive insights into the exhibition are offered by guided tours at 3 p.m. with curator Michael Rief and at 4 p.m. with co-curator Dr. Dagmar Preising. Tickets for these tours are also available at the ticket office 30 minutes before the start. A guided tour fee of 3 euros is charged in addition to museum admission.
