Compact with versatile training options for different fitness levels and almost all age groups: this is the new mobile fitness facility at Driescher Hof. The robust outdoor fitness facility offers various stations with different levels of difficulty, including pull-ups, push-ups, rowing movements, dips and Bulgarian split squats. The facility, which is located on the area in front of the former "Christus unser Friede" church on Königsberger Straße, provides a fully-fledged functional workout that promotes strength, stability, coordination and mobility in equal measure. Initiated as part of the municipal sports development plan, the facility complements the sports and exercise offerings in the city and the neighborhood in a needs-based, free and low-threshold manner.

Boxes with sports equipment complete the offer
Two directly adjacent sports boxes are also available for use. One box is equipped with training equipment and is labeled as a "fitness box" in the app. The second box contains exercise games and is labeled as a "games box" in the app. The games are suitable and intended for use in the adjacent areas.

Both boxes can be opened using the "SportBox - app and move" app. The sports equipment can be borrowed free of charge and used at the facility. Registration with personal data is required for use. Only then will the door to the sports equipment open. Athletes are also responsible for ensuring that the equipment is fully returned to the box after training and that it is properly locked.

Comparable sports boxes are already available at several locations in the city: In addition to Driescher Hof, they are also available at the "Zum Kirschbäumchen" youth playground and on Rütscher Straße.

Further facilities conceivable
The mobile facility is a pilot project. If the users rate it positively, further systems of this type are conceivable in the city. At the same time, the mobile system offers the advantage that it can be relocated if necessary. The current location at Driescher Hof makes use of a currently undeveloped area that can be used temporarily for sport and exercise until it is developed at a later date.
