Following the great success of the past three years, the "Long Table of Diversity" will be set up for the fourth time on Saturday, July 4, from 12 noon onwards at the Katschhof. The City of Aachen cordially invites all Aachen residents to join together to set an example for respectful coexistence, diversity and social cohesion. The event brings together people of all generations, cultures and backgrounds - for a large city picnic with music, discussions, information stands and diverse encounters.

The Katschhof will once again become a place of encounter, exchange and participation right in the heart of Aachen. The public can expect a varied program. "The 'Long Table of Diversity' shows our vibrant urban society. It brings people together and stands for respectful coexistence in Aachen. We invite everyone to be part of it," emphasizes Lord Mayor Dr. Michael Ziemons.

“Diversity Award” and “Integration through Sport”
GrantIn addition to the communal meal, the event also includes the formal presentation of the “Diversity Award,” which is sponsored by the City of Aachen and the Committee for Equal Opportunity and Integration (formerly the Integration Council).

The Diversity Award honours the commitment of people, groups, organizations, companies and associations who are committed to respectful coexistence, participation and a good life together in an open and diverse city. The Aachen Diversity Award is intended to recognize this commitment, make it visible and contribute to the sustainable anchoring of the topic of diversity in the consciousness of urban society.

This year, the city's "Integration through Sport 2026" award will be presented for the first time as a separate category within the "Diversity Award". This year, sports clubs and initiatives that are particularly committed to integration, social participation and diverse coexistence with their projects and commitment can also apply.

with OthersAll clubs, organizations, and initiatives committed to diversity, inclusion, equal opportunity, and the promotion of democracy are warmly invited to participate in the “Market of Diversity” by setting up an information or food booth. Take this opportunity to showcase your work and become part of the “Festival of Diversity.” The focus is on connecting with others, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences. Everyone is warmly invited to bring their own picnic. The table is set—come on by.

Interested groups, clubs, and organizations can register by May 10 at the latest. Please note that booth space is limited and will be allocated only after the registration deadline.
