Annual Mobility Dialogue: City provides information on activities in 2025
At the "Annual Mobility Dialogue" on Tuesday, March 17, at Depot Talstraße 2 in Aachen, the city will provide information on developments to promote mobility in Aachen. From 5 p.m. onwards, themed stands will invite visitors to find out more and talk to the specialist administration.
The moderated dialog begins at 5.30 pm in the depot and ends at around 7 pm. The event will be recorded. The video will later be available on the City of Aachen's YouTube channel.
With the "Annual Mobility Dialogue", the administration focuses on all relevant mobility topics - from walking, cycling, local public transport and motor vehicle traffic to innovative approaches such as sharing models and digitalization in mobility.
In addition to current developments on individual topics, the evening will focus on an open discussion about mobility in Aachen. In addition, the guests will find out which measures demanded by the cycling decision have now been implemented in Aachen. With the Annual Dialogue and the Mobility Report 2025, the city is fulfilling Goal 7 of the cycling decision entitled "Promote the transport transition consistently and transparently". According to this, a written report is to be presented once a year and invitations issued to a public event.
Program
City Planning Councillor Frauke Burgdorff welcomes the participants. The results of the "Citizens' Council" on the topic of "Balanced mobility in Aachen" will then be presented. Uwe Müller, Head of the Mobility and Transport Department, and his colleague Michael Schrömbges, Head of the Conceptual Planning and Mobility Department, will then present the contents of the Mobility Report 2025. This will be followed by an open discussion moderated by Armin Langweg. Langweg is the coordinator of transport development planning in the city of Aachen.
The Annual Mobility Dialogue will turn into a get-together in a relaxed atmosphere from 7 pm.
