Staff Shortage Persists: South Hall Must Be Closed

Furthermore, there is an acute staff shortage at the city’s public swimming pools, which is leading to reduced hours and, this week, the closure of the Süd Indoor Swimming Pool on two days.

Next Tuesday, June 23, and Thursday, June 25, the indoor pool must remain completely closed to ensure that the Hangeweiher outdoor pool can remain open despite the high summer temperatures.

Up-to-date information on the swimming pools and their hours of operation: The City of Aachen’s Sports Department asks all visitors to check the City of Aachen’s sports portal at www.aachen.de/schwimmen before visiting any of the city’s indoor or outdoor swimming pools to ensure there are no restrictions or closures at the respective facilities.
