Local politics during the week of June 15–21
Next week, local politics will be all about the future. Various city committees will be addressing issues related to the development and modernization of the city of Aachen.
Wednesday, June
24: The meeting of the Committee on Labor, Economy, Science, and Regional Development will take place at 27:00 in the conference room of Haus Löwenstein. A report is scheduled to provide information on the trainee organizations in Aachen. In addition, the meeting will address the cooperation agreements between the City of Aachen and RWTH Aachen University and Aachen University of Applied Sciences, as well as the nationwide “Schneller Gründen” project, for which Aachen is set to become a pilot site.
The Committee on Digitalization will meet at 5:00 p.m. in the Campus meeting room on Maria-Theresia-Allee. Among other things, the committee will hear a status report on the digitalization activities and projects in the relevant department. It will also discuss the expansion of public Wi-Fi in the city center and the progress of the City of Aachen’s digital strategy.
