“The End of Invisibility”: A Reading with Hami Nguyen at the City Library
Anti-Asian racism is not a new phenomenon. It manifests itself in various forms—ranging from overt disparagement to supposedly “positive” stereotypes. At the same time, the experiences of those affected are often marginalized in the media and political discourse or fail to be recognized as racism. Author Hami Nguyen no longer wishes to remain silent on this issue. With her book *The End of Invisibility: Why We Must Talk About Anti-Asian Racism*, she aims to bring these dynamics to light.
On June 29, 2026, at 5 p.m., Hami Nguyen will read from her book at the Aachen City Library and will then take time to engage in a discussion with the audience. The event is intended to help create a space for exchange, reflection, and raising awareness.
The Student Body’s Gender Equality Project, the RWTH Aachen University Gender Equality Office, and the Rector’s Office for Inclusion, Gender, and Diversity Management, in cooperation with the Aachen City Library, cordially invite all interested parties to attend.
