"Walk & Talk" in Aachen's eastern district: Lord Mayor invites people to take a walk around the district
Lord Mayor Dr. Michael Ziemons invites you to a "Walk & Talk" along Elsassstraße in Aachen's eastern district next Tuesday, June 16. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., you will have the opportunity to accompany him on a walk through the district and talk to him directly along the way. Instead of staying at a fixed location, conversations will take place at several stations along the route. This creates space for spontaneous encounters, short conversations and direct impressions of the district.
The walk starts in the Kennedypark/Elsassstraße area and leads via various stations along Elsassstraße to the final open exchange at Elsassplatz. There, from around 7 p.m., there will be the opportunity to continue the conversation in a larger group.
The "Walk & Talk" is organized in cooperation with the Werkstatt der Kulturen des Diakonischen Werkes im Kirchenkreis Aachen e. V. and Barrierefrei Aachen e. V. International. The aim is to create additional access through joint on-site support, integrate different perspectives and further strengthen the dialog in the district. "It's important to me to be out and about in the neighborhood and to record people's impressions where their everyday lives take place. Walking together creates a special closeness and openness," says Ziemons.
All interested residents of Aachen are invited to join the walk and share their perspectives. No registration is required. For more information on the dialogue formats and upcoming dates, please visit www.aachen.de/buerger-innenbeteiligung
