B 258: Construction work at the Königsberg relay station will continue until early August
On June 29, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Road Construction Authority (Straßen.NRW) resumed road construction work on Federal Highway B258 near the Königsberg Rest Area in Aachen.
Due to the extent of the damage to the road’s subgrade, the repair work on the B 258—originally scheduled to be completed by the start of summer vacation—is expected to continue until early August.
Traffic on the B 258 is being directed past the construction site in a single lane using construction zone traffic lights. The turnoff onto County Road 40 (K 40), “Rotterdell,” must remain closed during construction. Traffic between Roetgen-Rott and Himmelsleiter (K40/Rotterdell) will be rerouted in both directions via Roetgen.
