The Forster Weg playground in Beverau is being redesigned

"What do you want for your playground?" The city of Aachen asked children in the Beverau district this question. The answer: more swings. These and much more are now coming! The Forster Weg playground is being upgraded and redesigned as part of the Beverau integrated urban development concept (ISEK). This was announced by the Environment and Climate Department. The excavator from the company carrying out the work will arrive tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, at lunchtime.

First of all, the play and paved areas will be constructed. The new play equipment will then be delivered and installed one by one. In addition to the swings mentioned above, there is a ground trampoline that can also be used by children in wheelchairs. A toddler sand play area, a small stand-up merry-go-round, two seesaw animals and a fire engine complete the range of equipment. A tree house for the older children will be the eye-catcher of the playground. Finally, the planting work is carried out: This includes ground cover, hedges, shrubs and a new tree. New seating will round off the project. All of this will create a significantly higher quality of stay. Construction is expected to take around three months. When everything is finished, the new Forster Weg playground will be inaugurated with a small celebration in May or June 2026.
