"The Muslim and the Jewess" - Ronen Steinke reads at the Nadelfabrik
Together with the Wegweiser program in the Aachen region, the Nadelfabrik invites you to a reading with Ronen Steinke. The event will take place on Thursday, January 15, at 7 pm in the foyer of the Nadelfabrik (Reichsweg 30, 52068 Aachen). The author will read from his book "Der Muslim und die Jüdin" - "The story of a rescue in Berlin".
The book is based on a true story. During the Second World War, a Muslim man from Egypt living in Berlin saves the life of a Jewish woman by tricking the Nazis and becoming part of the German resistance against Nazi terror. The Egyptian constantly balances on a fine line between subversion and adaptation. It is a story that gives courage and hope in times of hatred.
After the reading, there will be an opportunity to chat in a convivial atmosphere. The Frankenberg bookshop will be offering books for sale on site, which can be signed by the author afterwards.
The event is free of charge.
Please register in advance (Tel.: 0241 432-56621, nadelfabrik@mail.aachen.de).
