Local politics in the week from February 23 to 27

There are a number of appointments in Aachen's local politics next week. But the meeting of the Aachen-Laurensberg district council has been canceled.

Tuesday, February 24,
The operating committee for the Eurogress will meet at 5 p.m. in conference room 3 of the Eurogress and discuss the business plan for 2026 as well as the return of the event areas in the Tivoli to ASB GmbH. There will also be an insight into the event processes at the Eurogress.

The sports committee also meets at 5 p.m. in the meeting room of Haus Löwenstein. An oral report will be given on the current status of the inspection and necessary renovation measures in the municipal swimming pools. There is also a status report on the Soers sports park. There is also a report on the planned "Mobility Hub Hangeweiher".

Wednesday, February 25
The Committee for Work, Economy and Regional Development meets at 5 p.m., also at Haus Löwenstein, and discusses the 2026 budget, the restructuring and activities of the city management and is informed about the KRAFTWERK project outline at the bus station.

The Aachen-Mitte and Aachen-Laurensberg district councils will meet simultaneously at 5 p.m. in the council chamber of Aachen Town Hall. There is a new member in the Aachen-Mitte district council. The "Campus West" development plan will also be discussed.
