As part of the "Haaren clever mobil" project, the town has received funding to improve pedestrian traffic in Haaren. For example, a 2.1-kilometre low-barrier circular route through the center of Haaren is to serve this purpose. The newly designed park at the old cemetery will be included in this circular route. A shorter route is also possible thanks to a cross-connection. Low-barrier crossing options are planned at all intersections and junctions as well as further selective improvements to the footpaths.

The administration will present the current plans for the accessible walking trail in Haaren on Wednesday, May 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. during a neighborhood walk. District Mayor Daniel Hecker will also be in attendance. Participants can ask questions and share their own ideas during the walk. The meeting and starting point is the market square in Haaren.

The event is aimed at all those who walk in Haaren - whether with or without aids - as well as those who would like to walk the circular route more often in the future. All interested parties are cordially invited.
