The parking duration at the municipal Hangeweiher parking lot on Hermann-Löns-Allee will be limited to four hours from Thursday, April 30, 2026. The rule applies Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until the weekend of September 12/13. This year's outdoor pool season ends on September 13.

Drivers prove their parking time with a parking disk. The corresponding signs will be set up at the two entrances and exits to the parking lot.

The change in parking regulations at the Hangeweiher parking lot is related to the outdoor pool season, which begins on May 1. It was first introduced in the parking lot last year for the outdoor pool season from May to September.

With the four-hour time limit, the city wants to ensure that the parking lot is primarily used by visitors to the outdoor pool and not by long-term parkers.

The city council regrets that the four-hour limit does not meet the interests of long-term visitors to the outdoor pool. However, last year it became clear that the change in parking duration was a suitable compromise between duration of use and availability.

Park+Ride is not possible in the parking lot during the outdoor pool season, the corresponding P+R signage in the surrounding area will be removed.
