Local politics in the week from September 22 to 28
There are five meetings on the calendar next week. All five committees meet from 5 pm.
Tuesday, September 23,
The Facility Management Committee meets in the meeting room of the administration building at Marschiertor. The second quarterly report of the building management will be presented there. There will also be a report on the lighting refurbishment in the Lagerhausstraße administration building and the committee will discuss whether the city's facility management should become a member of the Sustainable Building Council.
The sports committee meets in the conference room of Haus Löwenstein. The meeting deals with the beach volleyball event "Kaiser*in of the Court" and the "Inclusion through Sport" project. A grant for the procurement of sports equipment is also discussed.
Wednesday, September 24,
The main committee meeting takes place in the council chamber in the town hall. Important topics here are the "Haus der Neugier GmbH", a review of the night mayor and the future of the beach volleyball event "Kaiser*in of the Court".
Thursday, September 25,
The Audit Committee meets in the meeting room of Löwenstein House. The meeting will focus on the opinions of the administration and the auditors on the local audit of the Municipal Audit Office 2025. Also on the agenda: a status report on the objectives and key figures.
The Committee for Social Affairs, Integration and Demography meets in the council chamber. The regional group Fatigatio e. V. and the self-help group Zitronenfalter as well as the association donum vitae Aachen Stadt und Land e. V. are presented there. Other topics include the project "Wohnen jetzt! HOUSING FIRST AACHEN" project and the extended Sunday service for homeless people in Aachen.
