The Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum Aachen is taking part in the Intercultural Week (September 21 to 28), which has the motto "for this" in 2025, and invites you to two events that promote encounters and exchange.öwant to promote.

On Sunday, September 21 findet von 12 to 14 o'clockder open creative workshop "Heimatbilder" with the artist Vera Sous in the lecture hall. Families, young adults and adults are invited to artistically design their personal ideas of home. Individual collages are created from paper, texts, textiles, pictures and found objects. In cooperation with the Eine Welt Forum Aachen e.V., the workshop offers an open space for dialog and creativity. The focus is on individual perspectives as well as the question of how social sustainability can be shaped within the framework of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The offer is accompanied by a "fair tasting" where guests can sample sustainable dishes.

On Saturday, September 27 from 6.30 to 8 p.m., the SLM and Eurotürk e.V. invite you to a festive concert evening with Anatolian sounds at . Guests include the intercultural choir Turkish Classics e. V. and saz player Hüseyin Üstündağ. They will take the audience on a musical journey from Ottoman court compositions to modern classics. In addition to impressive concert moments, the program also offers sing-along songs that actively involve the audience in the musical experience. Admission is at 6 pm.

Admission to both events is free, registration is not required.

The program as part of the Intercultural Week is free of charge and is offered in cooperation with several contributors. As a municipal museum, the SLM defines itself as a place for everyone and a space for togetherness.
