Monday night: Official storm warning of heavy rain and warning of flooding

The German Weather Service is issuing a warning for the period up to midday on Tuesday: After some heavy thunderstorms with occasional heavy rainfall on Monday evening, rain will move in from the southwest after midnight, sometimes interspersed with thunderstorms. This precipitation will spread northwards as it progresses. Within a few hours, 30 to 60 liters per square metre of precipitation may fall. Up to 90 liters per square meter in combination with thunderstorms or heavy thunderstorms cannot be ruled out. The NINA warning app has published the following information: There is a flood warning. Make sure you are informed about the current weather and flood development. Pay attention to your own safety! Stay away from bodies of water. Remove your car from areas at risk of flooding.

The federal emergency information and news app, or NINA warning app for short, provides you with important civil protection warnings for various hazardous situations. Weather warnings from the German Weather Service and flood information from the relevant authorities in the federal states are also integrated into the warning app. Subscribe to areas and locations for which you would like to be warned: You can subscribe to municipalities or areas of one or nine square kilometers around a freely selectable location.
