From giant bubbles to face painting: the street festival on Dahmengraben and Holzgraben
Colorful hustle and bustle on the Dahmen and Holzgraben: Activities for young and old, including face painting, stalls, giant soap bubbles and musical entertainment. The street festival on Saturday, September 6, attracted many visitors to the neighborhood. Long-established and new store owners celebrated their community together and offered guests a great program in bright sunshine. The traders presented their product range at sales stands and encouraged visitors to try out culinary delicacies or the latest make-up trends.
In recent months, the shopping mile has already seen numerous new openings, particularly on Dahmengraben, four of which were supported by the city's "Ladenliebe" funding program. The latest addition: the "Aachen Unverpackt" store, which was able to present its concept to a wide audience at the street festival.
A grant from the "Oecher Perlen" municipal fund made the street festival and the prior installation of colorful lanterns and a large banner possible. New, high-quality seating islands and more greenery are also planned for the coming months to further improve the quality of the area.
