Regionetz began renovating the supply lines in Goffartstrasse in May 2025. In several construction phases, the network operator will renew the sewer and the gas and water supply lines, replace the house connections and also expand the environmentally friendly district heating.

The first construction phase at the junction of Bismarckstrasse and Goffartstrasse has already been completed. Over the next few months, Regionetz will pause further construction work on Goffartstrasse. The city will initially be paving the surfaces at the junction with Bismarckstrasse. As soon as this work has been completed, Regionetz is expected to resume its activities in Goffartstrasse as planned from December 2025.

The Regionetz works in Goffartstrasse must be interrupted at this time in order to secure the escape routes and fire department access routes as well as the access of residents to Goffartstrasse.

The city is currently preparing the groundwork so that Goffartstraße can be restored once the Regionetz work is complete. The current detour routes for cycle traffic in the Frankenberger Viertel will only be changed when the construction work by the city and Regionetz allows. The city and Regionetz will provide information on any changes in good time.
