Öcher Schängche shows "Princess Tausendschön"
The Stadtpuppenbühne Öcher Schängche will be performing the children's play "Princess Tausendschön" on Sunday, November 2, at 3 p.m. in the Barockfabrik at Löhergraben 22. The fairytale play by Wilhelm Dithmar in three acts will be performed in the adapted version by Will Hermanns.
Plot: A sinister sorcerer has the king in his power and wants to take his daughter, the beautiful Princess Tausendschön, as his wife. Only those who solve three difficult riddles can save her - but forty-nine suitors have already lost their lives in the process. Now the fiftieth prince enters, accompanied by Schängchen, Nieres and Veries, who support him with wit and courage. Aunt Hazzor, employed as a chambermaid in the castle, also helps the brave prince to solve the riddle. Together they find the secret of the blue flower that can defeat the wizard. In the end, the prince solves the riddles with ease, the villain is caught by Krippekratz - and a wedding is celebrated in the castle. With Schängchen and his friends, of course.
Further performances of the fairytale play are planned for November 6 and 9, both at 3 pm.
Tickets for children's plays can be booked in advance on the Sunday of the play from 10 am to 12.30 pm by calling 0241-172016 or sending an e-mail to puppenbuehne@mail.aachen.de.
