20 years of the "Dialogue of Religions" working group and successful "13th Aachen Peace Banquet of Religions" in the town hall
Last Sunday (October 12), numerous guests and representatives of various faith and religious communities gathered in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall to celebrate the "13th Aachen Peace Banquet of Religions". This year's event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the "Dialogue of Religions" working group and thus offered a special opportunity to experience diversity, dialog and togetherness in a lively way.
During the event, which lasted more than two hours, visitors enjoyed a variety of dishes and had enriching conversations. The peace meal has been a firmly established event for interreligious exchange, encounters and mutual respect for years - a living symbol of peaceful coexistence in Aachen.
Two decades of exchange between religious communities
The "Dialogue of Religions" working group looks back on two decades of dedicated work: since 2005, representatives of different religious communities have been promoting exchange and understanding for one another and actively working towards peaceful coexistence in the city. The anniversary was celebrated during the event and highlighted the importance of this joint commitment.
The success of the peace meal is not only reflected in the high number of participants, but above all in the openness and warmth with which people of different origins and religions came together. Once again, it became clear how important ongoing dialog is for peaceful coexistence.
