Local politics in the week from December 1 to 7
Three municipal policy meetings are scheduled for the first week of December. The meeting of the Committee for Labor, Economy, Science and Regional Development is cancelled, as are those of the Committee for Equal Opportunities and Integration, the Facility Management Committee and the Committee for Social Affairs and Demography.
Wednesday, December 3,
The Aachen-Mitte district council meets at 5 p.m. in the council chamber of Aachen Town Hall. The 2026 forest management plan for the municipal forest and the trial phase at the Jülicher Straße / Wurm site as part of "AACHEN Kompass I" will be discussed, as will the redesign of Rolandstraße / Krefelder Straße as part of the Berensberg priority cycle route.
The Aachen-Brand district council will be discussing the planned laying of a hydrogen pipeline in Aachen's southern area, the development of the development plan area on Karl-Kuck-Straße and the replacement construction of a bridge on Münsterstraße at 5 pm in the meeting room of the district office on Paul-Küpper-Platz.
The meeting of the Aachen-Eilendorf district council starts at 5.30 pm in the meeting room of the local district office on Heinrich-Thomas-Platz. The district council will deal with an amendment to the statutes on street cleaning and the levying of street cleaning charges as well as the barrier-free conversion of bus stops.
