String magic in the museum

On Sunday, December 7, at 11 a.m., the string orchestras of the City of Aachen Music School invite you to a "Matinee in the Museum": from fox adventures to Vivaldi's mandolin sounds - a matinee to marvel at in the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum.

Let the Streicherfüchsen take you on a musical journey with festive, cheerful but also contemplative pieces from all over the world. The children's string orchestra goes on an adventure around an iceberg. Find out which musical delicacy melts the ice and what lies behind it.

Finally, the youth string orchestra will play Vivaldi's famous mandolin concerto in C major together with 11-year-old Elisaveta Bondareva. Elisaveta is a prizewinner at Jugend Musiziert and is a member of Rada Geoffroy's mandolin class. This piece is framed by Christmas sounds and film music.

The orchestras are conducted by Aki Sakamoto Bartz, Yvonne Hermanns-Kosarew and Moira Cameron.

Admission to the concert is free, but donations for the Friends of the Music School are requested.
