Christmas market: Park+Ride to the city center cheaply and without traffic jams
The city of Aachen operates five Park+Ride parking lots in Aachen. They are located in the Tivoli parking lot (Krefelder Straße), at Westfriedhof (Vaalser Straße), at Hangeweiher (Hermann-Löns-Allee), at Waldfriedhof (Monschauer Straße) and at Jülicher Straße/Berliner Ring.
The "Park+Ride Ticket" is valid daily at all P+R sites. It costs five euros for a return journey by bus to the city center and is valid for up to five people. The tickets are available from the bus drivers. At the Tivoli Stadium, the parking ticket is also valid as a ticket.
P+R at the Tivoli Stadium
The parking garage at the Tivoli Stadium offers the largest number of parking spaces. There are 1200 parking spaces there. From Monday to Friday, buses run every 10 to 15 minutes from the H5 Sportpark Soers stop to the bus station and back to the stadium. On Saturdays, buses even run every 7.5 minutes during the day. The journey to the bus station in the city center takes around eleven minutes.
However, the parking garage is not available on home match days of the Alemannia Aachen soccer club. Alemannia will continue to play at the Tivoli Stadium on the following Saturdays until the end of 2025:
- Saturday, November 22
- Saturday, December 13

Additional P+R service
The parking garage at the University Hospital can also be used as a P+R location during this year's Christmas market on weekends from Friday, 12 noon, to Sunday, midnight.
The parking ticket received on entry must be paid for directly at the pay machine using the "Park & Ride" tariff (5 euros) and can then be used as a P+R bus ticket for twelve 12-hour periods. Important: If you park for longer than 12 hours, this time must be paid for at the applicable normal parking rate.
The exit from the parking garage at the University Hospital is simply done via the ticket or license plate recognition.
P+R in the Aachen transport network
Free P+R parking spaces for cars are also available at 35 train stations and stops in the Aachen transport network (AVV). Over 4,500 cars can be parked there.
