Young people on a voyage of discovery through Europe: Anniversary quiz campaign of the International Charlemagne Prize focuses on European encounters
To mark the 75th anniversary of the International Charlemagne Prize, young people can take part in the interactive quiz "CELEBRATE YOU, CELEBRATE EU" and, with a bit of luck, win one of the "75+1" Interrail tickets. The campaign runs from November 3, 2025 to April 30, 2026 and promotes European encounters.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen, this interactive campaign is being launched, which is aimed specifically at young people aged 18 to 35. Under the motto "CELEBRATE YOU, CELEBRATE EU", participants can learn more about the Charlemagne Prize in a fun and entertaining way and take part in a competition at the same time. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the Charlemagne Prize and promote European encounters between young people. The campaign will run from November 3, 2025 to April 30, 2026 and will be advertised via social media, posters, flyers and - with the kind support of ASEAG - on buses in the region.
"With this campaign, we want to get young people excited about the Charlemagne Prize in a modern, interactive way and at the same time bring the idea of European networking to life," says Dr. Jürgen Linden, Chairman of the Charlemagne Prize Board of Directors.
Via an interactive QR code and the channels of the International Charlemagne Prize, users can access a microsite with an augmented reality application where they can answer quiz questions about the Charlemagne Prize. Those who take part have the chance to win one of 75+1 Interrail tickets for themselves and a companion. The "75" stands for 75 years of the International Charlemagne Prize. The "+1" stands for our shared vision of the future: a Europe that lives through understanding, encounters and cohesion. The draw and announcement of the winners will take place at the Charlemagne Prize ceremony in 2026.
Further information on participation and the microsite will be available from November 3, 2025 on the campaign website www.75plus1.de and at www.karlspreis.de.
