Sandkaulstraße: burst water pipe causes roadworks

From Monday, June 2, Regionetz will be replacing the water pipes on a section of Sandkaulstraße following a burst water pipe. For this measure, it is necessary to close Sandkaulstraße on one side at the corner of Sandkaulbach in the direction of the city center.

Out of town, motor vehicle traffic can continue to reach Alleenring and Krefelder Straße via Sandkaulstraße. A one-way street will be set up in the area of the Regionetz construction site.

Towards the city center, vehicle traffic will be diverted at the Bastei junction via Monheimsallee to Hansemannplatz and from there via Peterstraße and Couvenstraße to Seilgraben. Sandkaulstraße will become a cul-de-sac in the direction of the city and should only be used by people with concerns as far as the construction site.

According to current planning, the construction work will take around two weeks.

The work has been coordinated and agreed with the relevant institutions. Rescue access will be guaranteed at all times. Regionetz asks for your understanding for the inconvenience caused by the work. Together with the companies it has commissioned, it is making every effort to keep the disruption to a minimum. All measures have been coordinated with the responsible authorities and institutions.
