At its meeting on May 8, 2025, the Culture and Theatre Operations Committee unanimously approved the new fee structure for the city's museums. The new admission prices will come into force on June 1, 2025.

For the Suermondt-Ludwig-Museum, Ludwig Forum for International Art, Centre Charlemagne, International Newspaper Museum, Couven-Museum and Aachen Town Hall, the admission prices will increase to ten euros for full-paying visitors and six euros for reduced admission to the respective museums. Groups of eight or more also pay the reduced admission price of six euros per person. The admission prices for the city's museums were last adjusted on January 1, 2017.

The popular "six for six" museum card (one admission to each of five museums plus the town hall / for six months) will continue to be offered; from June 1, the price will be 30 euros for full-payers and 18 euros for concessions.

At the same time, the Museumscard offer is being expanded. In addition to the "six for six" ticket for all museums, further Museum Cards can also be purchased from June: the "four for six" ticket includes admission to the Centre Charlemagne, International Newspaper Museum, Couven Museum and Aachen Town Hall. Here, the Museumscard costs 20 euros for full-paying visitors and 12 euros for concessions. In addition, admission to the Couven Museum and the International Newspaper Museum is possible with the "two for six" Museum Card: 10 euros for full payers, 6 euros with a discount.
