From Monday, May 26, Regionetz will be renewing the sewer and the supply lines for gas and water on Goffartstraße and at the junctions with Frankenberger Straße and Turpinstraße. The network operator is also replacing the corresponding house connections and expanding the district heating network. According to current planning, the construction work will take around nine months. Work will be carried out in several construction phases.

First, a section of the sewer in Frankenberger Straße/Goffartstraße will be renovated underground. The work will take around two months. Frankenberger Straße will become a dead end here.

The construction site will then move to the junction with Bismarckstraße. From there, the new pipes for the sewer and district heating will be laid step by step in shorter construction phases up to Turpinstrasse and Frankenberger Strasse 9.

Due to current safety regulations, work may only be carried out with a full road closure for motor vehicles. Residents and delivery traffic can drive up to the construction site from both sides. Pedestrians can walk past the construction site.

The work is coordinated and agreed with the responsible institutions. Emergency access is guaranteed at all times.
